COAT researchers win the first Fægri price

COAT researchers Ole Petter Laksforsmo Vindstad and Jane Uhd Jepsen have won the first Fægri price for an article on geometrid moths in the Norwegian popular science journal Naturen.

COAT researchers win the first Fægri price

 

The Fægri price is a newly established award for best article in the Norwegian popular science journal Naturen. This year’s winners are COAT researchers Ole Petter Laksforsmo Vindstad and Jane Uhd Jepsen for the article «Populasjonssykluser hos bjørkemålere - små dyr med enorme svingninger» (“Population cycles in geometrid moths – small animals with enormous fluctuations”) from Naturen 03/2019. The article was part of a special issue on population cycles, where COAT researchers also had contributions on ptarmigan, hare and small rodents. The award is 10 000 Norwegian kroners. In addition, a student price of 5000 kroners was awarded to Audun Rugstad.
